Jack of Diamonds is a brand dedicated to giving you the finest roots music around. We've got mounds and mounds of soul, blues, Folk, Trad, Bluegrass, Country, Rock and more. If it sounds good we got it.




This weeks Jack Of Diamonds saw FUNZO take the stage for the second time in Le Cirk. Never have I seen such energy from a act that arent turning the amps to full whack. These guys float over charming pop infused melodies reminiscent of the Beach Boys and The Clash. An odd mixture which can only be beleived when it is seen.















Also legendary banjo super picker Tom Hanway graced the stage with bluegrass flatpicker Hugh Dean Taggart. The first gig the two played together and what a excellent combintation it was. Hugh brings his raw authenticity to the music,while Tom seasoned professional compliments evreything perfectly.






And in keeping with the jack of diamonds weekly tradition N.C Lawlor nursed all the sore heads in the middle bar. Playing his brand of country blues to anyone that wants to listen. Which this week included my Ma and her cousins. Good Stuff!
